Dallas Fashion Holiday Shopping Guide

December is here and it’s time to tackle that holiday gifting list. And now that we’re getting down to the wire (and your UPS driver probably desperately needs a break), supporting DFW businesses and getting your shopping done ASAP is a win-win for everyone. Check out these local offerings that you can find in the Metroplex for your style-obsessed recipients.

Each GAIA handbag is thoughtful and unique, down to the Fair Trade brushed brass accents and handwoven African mudcloth. And bonus: the lining of the bags are made with Perennials fabric, so they’re amazingly easy to keep clean.

Inspired by the original Lee Stormrider jackets of the ’30s, this water-repellant canvas jacket is a must for Dallas winter. And due to the waxed canvas, the jacket will develop a one-of-a-kind patina over time.

Sabahs come in just about every color imaginable and are *completely* made by hand in Turkey. My personal favorite is the Fort Worth Brown, a beautiful brown leather that will go with everything in the closet and only get better over time. But head to their gorgeous Uptown location to see for yourself. Just a heads up, you’re probably going to leave with a pair for the whole fam (little one included).

Gifting perfume can be pretty tricky. Visit their stunning showroom in downtown Dallas and if you can tear yourself away from the shoe department, head over to the perfume station. All of Byredo’s fragrances are stellar but if you’d rather your recipient decide, opt for the trio.

This Lovers Lane boutique has some of the best affordable jewelry in town. My favorite? This simple gold knot cuff that’s perfectly sweet and symbolic for a BFF or a romantic partner.

Offered in three colors, these sculptural-inspired statement earrings can be worn year-round. And bonus: they’re not too heavy.

Who doesn’t need more comfortable loungewear? Ceren Alkaç-Lee’s gorgeous collection of ethically-produced Turkish goods are perfect for year-round (and lifetime) wear. And if you want to see these robes for yourself, Commonwealth by OddBird Co. just opened at 118 North Cedar Street in Denton.

Any Dallasite knows the importance of versatile headwear, and exclusivity just sweetens the pot. This Stetson design is made specifically for the Adolphus’ boutique shop, and the fedora/cowboy hat combo makes it a closet staple.

Plaid is the ultimate closet staple thanks to its versatility that will take you from casual Friday to a night out on the town. Mizzen+Main’s trademark wrinkle-free, moisture-wicking material ensures that this shirt stays looking fresh no matter what you throw at it.

This patterned pouch will work for travel, keeping small goods organized, or toting around town as a statement clutch. There are plenty of other patterns also available, so you can scoop up a few for everyone.

Socks and underwear may not be at the top of someone’s wishlist, but they’ve probably never tried MeUndies. This supersoft fabric will make anyone a believer. And if you’re still unsure, drive to Plano’s recently-opened Neighborhood Goods and feel for yourself.
