Party Like It's 2019 at These Dallas New Year's Eve Parties
New Year's Eve is almost upon us, and that means you have some serious decisions to make. For instance, how do you want to improve yourself in 2019? Eat better? Work out more? Read two books a month? These are important topics, but definitely a problem for future you.
Present you needs to figure out how to end 2018 on a rockin’ high note. That pounding headache and the desperate desire (perhaps need) for a greasy cheeseburger to get you through the morning? Again, future you’s problem. Keep reading for our top New Year’s Eve parties to ring in 2019.
A recreation of Truman Capote’s famous 1966 “Party of the Century,” the historic Statler’s NYE party will be a classy, yet raucous good time. Put on your finest party threads and dance the night away with their open bar and late-night food stations plus live music from In10City. Don’t feel like trying to get home after? Splurge on the hotel package and spend the night at the Statler.
If you’re looking for an excuse to bust out those old raver beads and neon leggings, Lights All Night is the party for you. It’s actually the Friday and Saturday before NYE but your ears will probably still be ringing on the 31st. Some of the biggest names in EDM will be performing including Tiësto, Kaskade and Rezz so if you’re trying to relive your rave days (or just live your current rave days), this is the place to be. Get ready to DROP THE BASS. Is that still a thing? As a side note, both Diplo and Gucci Mane are performing, so if you’re lucky they’ll play this banger.
Noble Rey Brewing Co. is hosting their annual Brew Years Eve. It’s sure to be a great time with music, food trucks, arcade games and, of course, beer. Lots and lots of delicious beer. Live entertainment will be provided by local artists J/O/E and Matthew and the Arrogant Sea. If you want to go out, but keep things a little chiller, this is definitely your best bet.
If you’re feeling nostalgic, The Cedars’ Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a ’90s party upstairs at their bar, Vetted Well. They’ll have ’90s music playing, ’90s themed cocktails, ‘90s movies, a photo booth and more. They’re really consistent with the ’90s theme, so you probably have an idea of what you’re in for. You’ll also have a great view of Reunion Tower’s legendary fireworks display as you raise your champagne flute at midnight. Cheers!
Alex Palomo of Neon Indian will be performing a DJ set at Dallas’ premier dance club, It’ll Do, if you’re interested in getting down on NYE. If you’re a fan of his, this will be a great way to experience his music in a much more intimate setting than you’d usually get. It’ll be just like those apartment dance parties you used to have all the time in college.
