Weekend Guide: Thanksgiving Edition

We hope everyone is having a quality Thanksgiving full of plenty of food, football and naps. This is an abbreviated Weekend Guide because, well, everyone is shopping this week. Maybe you could go to a bar if you don’t feel like doing anything in particular. If you’re looking to make some plans, we have a few things that might pique your interest below.

Saturday, November 24 | Deep Ellum

Celebrate all of Deep Ellum’s local shops during Small Business Saturday with a walking tour full of plenty of mimosas. With literally dozens of stores to explore, this beats any Black Friday trip to the outlet malls, plus you have plenty of spots to post up at after for some well-earned post-mimosas drinks and food.

Friday, November 23 | Kessler Theater

The prolific Dallas backing band have their own album and sound now, so you should check them out while they’re still on the up and not when they’re playing at AAC a decade from now. Plus, their shirts are sweet and it would be pretty lame to rock one of them without having seen the band live.

Saturday, November 24 | Dallas Farmers Market

Sure, it seems like there’s goat yoga every weekend, but that’s because it’s so cute. This one has the added twist of holiday photos where the goats are in costume. Forget Santa, these are the pictures you want for your Christmas card.
