Weekend Guide: House Porn and K-Pop Edition

What a headline, huh? We’re really pushing the boundaries here at Label Local Dallas by encouraging you to… go on a Lakewood home tour and eat Korean food in Carrollton. Whatever, it’s all about how you package it. Your weekend plans are below.

Saturday & Sunday, November 10 & 11 | Lakewood

Here’s your house porn. If your Sunday afternoons are just one big HGTV binge, then this is the event for you. These seven Lakewood homes will run the architectural gamut including mid-century modern, French Tudor and more. But more importantly, this is an opportunity to see some of the nicest homes in the city and be near White Rock Lake, which is a good place to bike, we hear.

Saturday, November 10 | Carrollton Town Center

Celebrate all things Korean with this all-day outdoor festival full of Korean food, music and entertainment. You might not know your K-pop from your Bibimbap, but this free party will offer a crash course from the Korean Society of Dallas.

Saturday, November 10 | Deep Ellum Brewing Company

My goodness, is DEBC already 7? Time flies when you’re always drinking Dream Crushers. Head down to their tap house Saturday for a full-day fête with some of the brewery’s biggest, boldest beers getting pulled out of the cellar for some proper good toasts. Live music and brewery tours — you know, tap house stuff — will be part of it, but we’ll be there for the Four Swords Belgian Quad ‘15.

Saturday, November 10 | MUTTS Canine Cantina

You can’t choose your family, and heck, sometimes you can’t even choose your friends, but you can always choose your doggos. MUTTS will be full of good ones at Pupsgiving this Saturday, including some for adoption from Garland Animal Services. There will also be a Thanksgiving costume contest and a pumpkin patch photo booth. It’s going to be very cute and very good.

Saturday & Sunday, November 10 & 11 | Reverchon Park

More than 100 painters, sculptors, glass blowers, jewelers and more will take over Reverchon Park this weekend to showcase their creations to the public and look to take home awards. Additionally, there will be live acoustic music, an Emerging Artists Pavilion, a children’s play area and food. Always food.
