Listen Up Because These Are The Concerts We're Eagerly Anticipating This October

We’re pretty pumped for all of the upcoming Halloween festivities, but it’s also important to note that it’s basically still a month away. So while we’re waiting for that brilliant costume idea to float to the surface, we’ll be spending our nights enjoying everything that this month’s roundup of shows has to offer. Scroll on for all the music events we’re keeping our eyes on this month…

Wu-Tang Clan: 36 Chambers 25th Anniversary Celebration Tour
Friday, October 4 at 8 PM at Bomb Factory /
Venture over to Deep Ellum for a Friday night show celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of hip hop’s greatest groups. Roots/funk/blues producer Stone Mecca will also be there, so it’s pretty safe to say that this lineup will check all of your ‘90s-loving boxes.

King Princess
Saturday, October 5 at 7 PM at House of Blues /
We did a double-take when we saw there were still tickets available for this show. So go ahead and claim your tickets to catch this New York-based multi-instrumentalist before they’re actually gone.

Girls Rock!
Saturday, October 5 at 8 PM at Deep Ellum Art Company /
This Saturday night lineup at Deep Ellum Art Company is set to be a good one. Sara King, Harper Grace, Devi and more will be playing all night long, so consider this show to be the best $5 you’ve spent in a long time.

The Raconteurs
Monday, October 7 at 8 PM at Southside Ballroom /
Surrender your phone for the night and make yourself present for a pretty stellar night of music. I mean, come on… there’s no better way to take down a Monday.

Tanya Tucker
Thursday, October 10 at 8 PM at Granada Theater /
Take a break from your Halloween weekend brainstorming and spend your night with a country music legend. Come on, your costume idea can wait.

Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors
Saturday, October 12 at 8 PM Statler Ballroom /
Any show in the Statler’s gorgeous ballroom is sure to be a memorable one. Americana/roots songwriter Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors are currently on tour to promote their latest album Dragons, so settle in and get ready to hear some stories.

The Beaches, Ruff Wizard
Saturday, October 12 at 10:30 PM at Sundown at Granada /
Cancel your quiet Saturday nightcap and make it an alternative late night with this Canadian act and local support, Ruff Wizard.

The Distillers
Thursday, October 17 at 8 PM at Granada Theater /
This LA-based punk band doesn’t come around to Dallas often, so if you’re still on the fence about checking them out live… now’s the time. Oh, and don’t forget your earplugs.

Baboon, Daniel Markham, Caved Mountains
Friday, October 18 at 8 PM at Kessler Theater /
Between Baboon’s noise, Markham’s rock and Caved Mountains’ psych, it’s sure to be a different kind of night at the Kessler.

Midnight North
Thursday, October 24 at 8 PM at DoubleWide /
California-based rock-Americana group has pretty much been on tour for the past four years, and now they’re making a stop at our beloved DoubleWide. So get your YooHoo Yeehaw ready… it’s gonna feel like a festival.

Timber Timbre
Tuesday, October 29 at 7 PM at Club Dada /
We’re all for extending the Halloween celebrations for the entire week, so get started a little early on the festivities with some psychedelic folk in Deep Ellum.
