Let The Good Times Roll with these Mardi Gras Parties [Not Live]

 

Before we get too ahead of ourselves daydreaming about our upcoming spring break activities, it’s important to make sure we’re partaking in all the king cake, crawfish, and Mardi Gras-related festivities. So stick a pin in your vacation planning and check out these Dallas Mardi Gras parties, ranging from the philanthropic to, ahem, bacchanal.

Friday, March 1

  • The Oak Cliff Masquerade, 9:30 PM at Cliff House / TICKETS
    Enjoy a sit-down dinner complete with brass band entertainment, and make sure to bring your costume and stick around for the post-dinner dance party complete with a traditional second line.

Saturday, March 2

  • Mardi Gras on Main, 8 PM at Frankie’s Downtown / TICKETS
    Prepare your ‘gram for a Carnival-inspired and costumed affair complete with craft cocktails and Cajun food. Local band All Funk Radio Show will lead the dance party and masks and beads will be supplied.

  • Krewe de Kidds Mardi Gras Masquerade, 7 PM at Ritz Carlton Hotel / TICKETS
    Celebrate Mardi Gras and do a little good. This fundraising event for children's charity Kidd's Kids features a sit-down dinner, open bar, live music with dancing and the chance to bid on unique items and experiences in both live and silent auctions.

  • Pawdigras Party, 12 PM at Texas Ale Project / FREE

    Dress up your pupper for an afternoon at TAP with Cane Rosso Rescue and enjoy a dog costume contest, adoptable dogs, live music, food trucks and, of course, great craft beer. It definitely won’t be a ruff time…

  • Mardi Craw, 4 PM at Texas Live / TICKETS

    We’re going big at Texas Live with all-you-can-eat crawfish, Hurricane contest tastings, specialty cups, commemorative T-shirts and live entertainment. You’re going to be content, we guarantee.

Sunday, March 3

  • Mardi Gras Oak Cliff Parade, 4 PM at Davis Street / FREE  
    Bishop Arts isn’t just for Bastille Day; it’s also an A+ spot to get your Mardi Gras celebration on. Bishop Avenue will be closed down from 2 PM to 7 PM to boil crawfish, serve up Hurricanes and beer and enjoy some traditional Zydeco tunes.

Tuesday, March 5

  • FAT Tuesday Pardi Gras Featuring Mannie Fresh, 4 PM at House of Blues / FREE
    This Bourbon Street-meets-Texas party will be showcasing the best Cajun food vendors, outdoor beer gardens, street performers and plenty of beads. And the party will still be going after dinner with an all-out dance party featuring New Orleans’ own DJ Mannie Fresh.

  • Mardi Craw, 5 PM at The Rustic / FREE
    With live music by Taméca Jones, a crawfish boil, jambalaya, face painting, beads and specialty cocktails, it’s the next best thing to booking a flight to New Orleans. And bonus: It’s free with RSVP.  

  • 13th Annual Texas Sized Fat Tuesday, 4 PM at Gas Monkey Live / TICKETS
    "Laissez les bon temps roulez" with table and bottle service, an all-night Cajun menu, and DJs spinning all night. Pro tip: you may want to take a “sick day” on Wednesday.

  • Fat Tuesday, 11 AM at The Quarter Bar / FREE

    Uptown’s best answer to New Orleans is a Label Local favorite, especially for its Mardi Gras party. This year, you can enjoy $3 Abita bottles, $4 Abita drafts, $5 Hurricanes on the rocks and a free Mardi Gras buffet.
